Smith & Wesson surprised the industry by releasing the new M&P9 Shield EZ last week and customers were eager to get feedback from those lucky enough to get their hands on one. After seeing tremendous success with the M&P 380 Shield EZ, gaining customers of all ages and shooting abilities, S&W wisely answered the call for more stopping power with the same easy-to-use platform.

Conclusion:
As the modern concealed carry pistol continues to evolve, S&W is staying ahead of the curve with the release of an M&P9 Shield EZ. Billed as an “easy-to-rack, easy-to-shoot, easy-to-pack, easy-to-load, and easy-to-clean” pistol, this plucky little gun certainly has impressed those who have been able to test it so far!
Much like the 380 EZ, this gun was appropriately named. I remember shooting the 380 EZ years ago at the Brownells gun range, enthusiastically exclaiming, “it’s so easy, it’s just EASY,” and laughing in spite of myself because I literally could not stop saying how easy it was to operate it.
My experience with the M&P9 Shield EZ yielded the same reaction with the added benefit of more stopping power. Easy to rack, easy to load, easy to shoot, easy to carry, reduced recoil… pair all of that with an MSRP of $479, what’s not to love?
