Gunsite, Glock, Holosun, and Davidson’s have teamed up to produce what they are calling the Gunsite Glock Service Pistol, aka the GGSP.
This pistol starts life as a G45 and is then customized to provide what Gunsite feels is a modern evolution of the fighting pistol. Gunsite, and Jeff Cooper, were all about the 1911, and moving to the Glock seems almost heresy, but let’s be clear, the Glock series is the modern service pistol.
The GGSP – Features, and Specs
The GGSP is the 9mm G45 with a Glock 19 barrel and slide and a Glock 17 frame. The gun comes with a Holosun 509T, which is an enclosed emitter optic that features multiple reticles and a solar panel. The 509T is directly mounted to the gun, and it’s not using the Glock MOS series plates. This is the superior option and the simpler option. MOS cuts are fine but are more prone to failure in small ways, which can kill your zero. Failure might be rare, but it does occur.
The GGSP also wears Ameriglo suppressor height sights for popper co witnessing action. Gunsite also went with the larger FBI magazine release and a factory minus connector for a lighter, smoother trigger pull. The entire package isn’t overt and race gun-looking, but a basic, solid fighting pistol. If you wanted lightening cuts, crazy serrations, and any other fancy features, you won’t find them here.
Shooters also get three magazines and the ‘bird and the word’ marking on the slide. The bird and the word being the Gunsite Raven and the word Gunsite. The serial numbers are with API, which stands for the American Pistol Institute, as it was founded by Jeff Cooper. Production is limited to 1,000 units with serial numbers from 1 to 1000. MRSP is $1,275. They will be sold exclusively through Gunsite and Davidson’s Gallery of Guns website.
Do you think Jeff Cooper would approve?

Looks like a nice setup. I know the Holosun is a great optic, but for this build, should be a USA optic.
I agree.
Wow, very nice. I have a G48, I want to be the first to volunteer my weapon for this transition.
Keep your plastic junk , proper 1911 platform only way that bird can fly the word fools
