D DeanHow soon do you expect for the Magna- Arm to be back in stock? Will it hold to steel (metal file cabinet) without screws?
-
Store Owner
We do have the Magna Arm available again on the website. They will stick to a steel file cabinet without the screws. Depending on how heavy the firearm is you may need to attach it with screws or heavy duty double sided tape.

C Craig A.Do you have a product drawing that shows dimensions, mounting hole diameters, etc.?
-
Store Owner
Unfortunately, we do not have a product drawing for the Magna-Arm. The product size is 2 7/8" tall and 1 7/8" wide. I do not have the exact size on the holes but it's about the size of a 1/8" drill bit.

T Tom H.Hello,
I would like to mount this in my SUV. However, I am uncertain about how stable the magnet would be if screwed into plastic or onto a padded surface. I have read of some users securing the magnet in a vehicle with 3M double-sided adhesive tape. What do you think? Thanks.Tom Hughes

We have had customers use that method and it work for them. We have not tested this here so we are unable to say if it will work or not, I apologize.

P PeteCould this be used with velcro for a backing adhesive instead of making screw holes in a surface? The adhesive would be easier to clean off than trying to hide a couple of screw holes.
-
Store Owner
The concern we have with mounting it with velcro would be the strength to hold the firearm. Even if it would hold securely, with repetitive draws of the firearm, it would likely pull away from where it's mounted. You're welcome to try it, however we've never tested it that way before and wouldn't recommend it.
