Its heavy construction and craftsmanship provides excellent weight distribution, ensuring stability and comfort while carrying. The MaxSlide by CrossBreed is designed for those times you want to carry your Judge or Governor while out in the woods hunting, camping or hiking. The MaxSlide three slot holster can be worn in one of two positions. Most common is the standard behind the hip with a slight forward cant. The second option is a slight reverse cant for crossdraw wear. With the size and weight of the Judge and Governor, the drawing grip is of utmost importance in controlling the firearm. To provide this accessibility, the MaxSlide is already configured with CrossBreed Holster’s combat cut. This holster is available in our robust natural cowhide or black cowhide.

This is the first revolver holster that I have found that hugs the gun to my body without flapping around like revolvers tend to do. I have a S&W 686+ w a 3” barrel and it’s a great firm. This holster allows me to carry owb without an issue. The leather also covers the hammer and rear sight which tend to dig into my side with other holsters.

I love the quality of the holster. It fits my .357 686+ Smith & Wesson like it was molded around it. Fast delivery considering the pandemic. I will be making Crossbreed Holsters my go to all the time. And OH, the holster come in a very cool black bag. With the Second Ammendment printed on the side of it. This is totally, the coolest place I have ever done business with.

The Governor/Judge is pretty difficult to find a quality holster for…Crossbreed to the rescue! This is the ONLY holster I would ever recommend to anyone with one of these beefy revolvers. Thank you Crossbreed!!!

First holster was the 1794 RVH2S – K-Frame Revolver Holster. Excellent leather holster but I prefer the CrossBreed MaxSlide with my S&W carry comp 19. Don't notice that I am wearing the CrossBreed holster, so that is my main reason for the preference. Also, it is easy to draw and the revolver remains secure in the holster at all times.
