Another member of the CrossBreed Modular holsters family: The Purse Defender is designed to go inside your favorite purse or handbag, so no more ugly concealed carry purses! The Hook & Loop Fastener-lined Kydex panel fits securely in your purse or another bag and keeps the gun and purse stabilized. This means that it will not spill over or cause your purse to tip like many purse holsters on the market today. Combined with our handcrafted modular holster, our concealed carry purse insert ensures your firearm is safe, secure, and always in the same spot in your purse or bag. The Purse Defender purse holster insert system comes complete with the L-Shaped panel, and a CrossBreed Handcrafted Modular Holster. (For use with your own purse.     Purse Defender---Genius!

    I love the purse defender! The size is perfect for my purse, it fits my glock like a glove, and the draw feels natural. I gave this product a try because my husband wanted me to carry more often but I wasn't comfortable using other holsters on the market in my purse.     I love my holster!! I purchased the large purse holster with the magazine holder and it fits perfectly in my backpack that I usually carry along with my purses so it is very versatile. And my sig p365 fits perfectly, easy to draw when I practiced.

    I have a smith and Wesson j frame air weight 642 with laser, what would fit? The laser was not available with laser option.

      Unfortunately, we do not offer any laser options for the 642 at this time. We do keep track of customer requests and would be happy to add this request to our list. We will need to know what laser you have to add it to that request list.

    Does the purse defender panel attach somehow to the inside of your purse? Otherwise wouldn’t the whole panel and holster pull out of the purse when trying to draw the gun?

      The Purse Defender panel does not attach to the purse. It will work great with most purses but not all off them. Most purses have a zipper flap that the Purse Defender will catch on stay in the purse when drawing.

    In response to the S&W EZ…. Sorry I meant the holster itself, to inquire about… so during my transaction/order, there will be a way to specify the laser type I have?

      You can select what firearm and light/laser you have by filling in the required fields. If you do not see the option for your firearm there it is because we either do not have that mold or do not offer that holster for your setup.

    Is the “L” piece hard or soft? I see the comments about adding Velcro. But other than that what keeps it from getting lost in a bigger purse?

      The L shaped panel is hard and sturdy and is made out of kydex like the pocket on the holster.  The standard Purse Defender Panel measures 9 inches long by 6 inches tall.  I have never heard of the panel being lost inside the purse.  It is designed so you take the contents out of purse, place the panel in the purse, and the place your contents back on top of the 3 inch bottom of the panel to help hold it in place and weight it down.

    I am thinking about purchasing this for my s&w shield EZ for my purse carry; was wondering what would be recommended size-wise if I have installed my own laser/light? Would there still be enough room?

      The size of the Purse Defender panel depends on the size of your purse. As far as the holster part, it would need to be made for the specific firearm and laser/light in order to have the proper fitment.
